Iron ore is a basic Mining material that can be mined from iron ore nodes, which are mainly found all over the Stormtouched Highlands and Fellhollow. Three ores can be smelted in a furnace into an iron bar, or three can be combined with three coal in a blast furnace to create a steel bar.

Iron is sturdy, durable and malleable. Blacksmiths prize it highly as a material for crafting superior arms and armour. It is rumoured that certain fae creatures are repelled by the ore, perhaps due to its rigidity and refusal to change to the whims of magical beings.
