Journal

The scales of a black dragon are sturdy things, capable of deflecting all but the strongest attacks. It’s not so much that they’re harder than other scales, but that the creature that bore them is so determined to survive that that tenacity passes on to one who wears it.

Scathach wore armour forged from the scales of her victims, and necklaces of their teeth dangled around her neck. She walked bravely among the dragons, because she knew that none would dare challenge her as she wore the skin of their kin.

Her confidence won the attention of Kuldra. Impressed with the garou’s skill, strength and sheer audacity, Kuldra granted her a drop of her blood, elevating Scathach above both her kin and the dragons she challenged.

It was this blood that would cause Scathach’s betrayal, because the remnants of the moon goddess, Lougrim, whispered within Kuldra’s blood and urged Scathach to turn on her mistress.

Sadly, her betrayal was short-lived, and stands as a warning to all other garou not to attempt the same foolish plan.
