All that glitters is gold, is factually inaccurate but a fun song lyric. However, golden armour is most certainly glittering. Forged from gold bars, melted down and refined into plate armour, there are few who can deny the sheer audaciousness of an outfit like this.

Golden armour was first created by the King of Bramblemead, who felt that he really needed to stand out as much as possible when riding into battle: a stance that demonstrated a complete failure to understand even the most basic of military tactics.

His version had the armour encrusted with glittering gemstones that only further served to make him the most desirable target on the battlefield.
