Red dragons also known as lesser red dragons are power level 7 dragons that roam the Umbral Sands.
Attacks
- Lunge
- Tail sweep (if behind them)
- Fire Claw Slash
- Fire Blast: The red dragon launches a fire projectile to build up around the three-quarters point.
- Fire Breath: The red dragon sweeps the area in front of them with their fire breath.
- Wing Attack: The red dragon flaps its wings, blowing wind at the player, with the second such blast doing damage.
- Fly: The red dragon can fly into the sky and do a few moves:
- Fire Breath: The red dragon shoots their breath in a line going away from them. This staggers the player and can easily lock them in to take all of the damage.
- Fire Whirlwind: The red dragon will fly into the air after looking upward and spin, causing a whirlwind of flames. They'll also spit 6 fireballs around the area; on impact, the fire will also form a pool of lava on the ground.
Location
Travelling within the Umbral Sands at night can result in a chance encounter with Fuzan, who drops off a red dragon at your location.

Journal
These red dragons are only lesser when compared to Fuzan, the strongest red dragon currently active in the region. Despite their weaker stature to their draconic overlord, the lesser red dragons are still some of the deadliest creatures in the region.
Like Fuzan, the red dragons here are fuelled by a desire to destroy. The fire that rages in their bellies yearns to be unleashed upon anything that moves - or doesn’t move (as some poor cacti have discovered). They torment the locals, and delight in their suffering.
A few red dragons give themselves grandiose names, in an attempt to claim their own legacy. One dragon, known as The Radiant, torments the Manafem Moon Garou. For years now, The Radiant has destroyed caravans, eaten travellers and brought suffering to the camp, for no reason other than their capacity to do so.
Cruelty is a deeply embedded trait in the red dragons of Ashenfall, and they view mercy as a weakness to be exploited.

Trivia
- Unlike the red dragons from RuneScape, Old School RuneScape, and RuneScape Classic, these can include fire-based damage that does not include their fire breath.
- Like the red dragons in the three games, they live in climates that are high in temperature.
