Opis z wiki
This article is about the base version. For the superior version, see Abyssal Whip.

The abysmal whip is a power level 4 one-handed melee weapon that can be created at a blacksmith's bench. The recipe, Abyssal Remains, can be acquired by killing an Abyssal Demon. It can be ascended at a mystic forge with ascension cores. Note, if you ascend the Abysmal Whip to power level 8, and upgrade it to the Abyssal Whip, it will be brought down to Power Level 7.

This weapon's special effect is that regular attacks also build up bleed, and after five rapid hits, it will proc 28 damage at power level 4 and 40 damage at power level 7, despite only listing 25 for each. As this weapon deals slash damage, compared to swords, its attacks are slightly slower but slightly harder; however, its forward lunge distance is much shorter, and since enemies are knocked back significantly by most attacks, they will often be knocked out of this weapon's combos. It also does not have increased block without a shield compared to other similar weapons.

Journal

The following text is transcribed from the Journal.

We've all heard of it. We've all wanted it... the Legendary Abyssal Whip! The fabled weapon that heroes and adventurers have been seeking for an age!

You have taken it one step further. You have asked the question, "How hard could it be to make your own?". All you need is a spine from an Abyssal Demon! It comes pre-segmented and it's made from some of the hardiest organic material known to mortalkind. You just need to kill the demon, twist the shoulder, sever a tendon, and Io - your very own Abyssal Whip... right? Wrong.

Turns out, it's a bit more involved than you expected, and this "weapon" demonstrates that all too well.

Still, not all is lost. Perhaps there is a way, a method, to turn this... "thing" into something that lives up to it's legend.
