Pristine desert sole is a Power Level 4 raw ingredient, which means it can be cooked at a campfire, grill, or with Infernal Rod into 3 sun baked sole. It can also be used to make Pristine Desert Sole Trophy. It can be gathered from rod fishing spots with ideally a yew rod in Umbral Sands at level 3 Fishing. Using monkfish bait increases the chance of catching one. It is the pristine variant of a raw desert sole.

Journal
Some fish were born to be hung on a plaque within somebody's house. The desert sole, flat as the wood that you're going to nail it onto, is one of those fish. Its eyes even follow you as you move around the house, like those paintings you hear about in haunted houses.
As a note, the attractive form of the pristine desert sole, and its flatness of course, means that it could have other uses. It makes for a fine doily, for example. You're free to use it as you please.
