Mithril ore is a basic Mining material that can be mined from mithril ore nodes, which can be found all over the Dowdun Reach region and its underground areas. Three ores can be smelted along 3 pieces of coal in a blast furnace to produce mithril bars.

Mithril Means much to dwarves. It was first discovered by a dwarf called Tolkun in the First Age. and its seams have been uncovered in much of Gielinor. For the way it shines, dwarves call it The Dwarven Welcome". Find the ore while mining and it lights up to greet you with a dwarven welcome.
A "Dwarven Welcome" is also what dwarves call a headbutt while wearing a mithril helmet.
