Only the dragonkin know the process to create true dragon armour. Others can perhaps manipulate the base metal, orikalkum, but they lack something in the process that turns the metal into true dragon metal, a far stronger source. In aeons past, on their original world, dragon armour was worn by the Ortius Chen, the mighty warriors of what was once a great dragonkin army.

While those in power were often callous and inconsiderate of the other races, there were plenty of dragonkin that did not consider empathy to be a vestigial weakness. They saw the cruelty and they hated that it was perpetrated in their name, so they joined with Nastalla and broke into the vaults of the Ortius Chen.

What came next was one of the bloodiest wars in a forgotten history. Dragonkin against dragonkin, dragon metal crashing against its kin. The Ortius Chen were trained and skilled, but the rebels fought with a fire that the Ortius Chen could not match – the flames of conviction.
