Raw undead eel is a Power Level 4 raw ingredient, which means it can be cooked at a campfire, grill, or with Infernal Rod into braised undead eel starting at Cooking level 41, and not burnt into burnt undead eel at level 50. It can be gathered from rod fishing spots with ideally a willow rod in Fellhollow at level 3 Fishing. Using lobster bait increases the chance of catching one. It is the normal variant of a pristine undead eel.

There is something deeply disturbing about a fish that remains to die. More disturbing still are the eels that slither and writhe and wriggle beneath the waters, their hearts no longer beating and their eyes filled with the milky-white film of rot and decay.

Sometimes, you have to ask yourself why you cook everything you find. Is this really going to make a succulent meal? Even dead it twitches occasionally, animated by some remnant of necromantic energy. Its flesh is partially decayed and the smell... oh the smell...
I recommend cooking it very, very thoroughly.
